The Chevy Silverado 1500 is one of the most popular pickups on the market. Now, it’s back for 2020, and it’s better than ever. The all-new Silverado 1500 has a tough yet handsome exterior, offers great performance, and comes with a host of comfort and convenience features that you’ll love.

The 2020 Chevy Silverado 1500 offers numerous trim levels and packages to ensure that you are able to get the right combination of features for your needs and preferences. Take a closer look at the trims and packages offered on the 2020 Chevy Silverado 1500 to determine which might be right for you:

Work Truck

The base Silverado 1500 is known as the Work Truck. It comes with a 4.3-liter V6 engine that puts out 285 horsepower and 305 lb-ft of torque. The engine is strong enough to haul a towing capacity of 7,900 pounds. Just as its name implies, the base model gives you just what you need to use this as a work truck for your main gig or your side hustle. There are two other engine options to get more power if you need it.

The exterior styling is more sophisticated than your average work truck. It has features like a black grille, black rub strip, and black front and rear bumpers. The side mirrors fold in to protect them when needed.

Inside, you’ll get vinyl seat upholstery for easy clean up, chrome accents for a bit of polish, and convenience features like an overhead console, a day-night rearview mirror, a USB port, and a 12-volt power outlet. A wi-fi hotspot is available, and the infotainment system comes with a touchscreen monitor, wireless phone connectivity, and smart device integration. The focus may be on a practicality, but you get a lot of fun features that most work trucks don’t offer.

Custom

The next trim level, the Silverado Custom, offers the same great powertrain, but it includes a few extras like two front tow hooks and power heated side mirrors. Inside, you’ll also see a major upgrade with cloth upholstery and cloth carpeting with rubber mats.

At this trim level, you start getting more convenience features, too, such as keyless entry, power windows, one-touch windows, auto-locking doors, cruise control, and more power ports.

LT

The Silverado 1500 gets a little more powerful at the LT trim. It comes with a 2.7-liter Inline 4 engine that puts out 310 horsepower and 348 lb-ft of torque. The engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission with overdrive and auto manual mode. Two other engines and transmissions are available.

Slight exterior upgrades include body-colored door handles and a chrome surround on the grille. A metal-look instrument panel and door panels give the interior a slight upgrade, as well. New convenience features at this trim level include a 4.2-inch driver information display, extra USB ports, semi-automatic climate control, and a Wi-fit hotspot.

Custom Trail Boss

If what you’re looking for is off-roading fun, the Trail Boss trim level is for you. Here you’ll get basically the same convenience features are offered on the LT trim level, but you’ll get mechanical upgrades that will make the Silverado 1500 more suited for off-roading adventures. Some of those upgrades include improved shocks, a lifted suspension, skid plates, a locking rear differential, and hill descent control. You also get off-road tires.

LT Trail Boss

With the LT trail boss, you get all those same features offered on the LT and Custom Trail Boss trims, but you get more power. The LT Trail Boss comes with the 5.3-liter EcoTec3 V8 engine with Dynamic Fuel Management. The engine puts out 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque. You also have the option to get the 6.2-liter EcoTec3 V8 engine for even more power.

Other cool upgrades include a dual-outlet exhaust with polished tips and an external cooler for the transmission oil.

RST

Get a bit more luxury styling with the RST trim level for the 2020 Chevy Silverado, which comes with body-color bumpers, door handles, and a center grille bar. Other nice touches include high gloss black mirror caps, LED lighting, and 18-inch bright silver aluminum wheels.

The interior look is basically the same, but you get upgrades like power driver and passenger seats, keyless start, steering wheel-mounted controls, and satellite radio.

LTZ

As you move into the premium trim levels for the 2020 Silverado 1500, you start to get a more premium look. On the LTZ trim, you get a lot more chrome, including on the bumpers, mirror caps, door handles, and grille. Inside, you get the same kind of luxury upgrades, with leather upholstery, simulated wood trim and inserts, and chrome accents. Comfort is also enhanced with heated seats and additional points of adjustment for the seats, including lumbar support.

Automatic temperature control, memory settings, remote engine start, dual zone air conditioning, a heated steering wheel, and voice-activated radio are other great new features at this trim level.

High Country

With the High Country trim level, you get all of the best features the 2020 Silverado 1500 has to offer. You also get a few exclusive extras, such as the two-tone bronze and chrome grille, 20-inch wheels, wheel-to-wheel assist steps, signature curtain LED daytime running lamps, and a power-up/down tailgate – an industry first.
