With the base engine of the Silverado HD, you can expect to get 401-horsepower and 464 pound-feet of torque.
The second engine option for the 2020 Silverado HD is a Duramax 6.6-liter turbo diesel engine. This engine is paired with a new Allison 10-speed transmission. This gives it 445-horsepower and 910 pound-feet of torque.

The third and final engine option for the 2020 Ford Super Duty is a 6.7-liter Power Stroke turbo diesel engine. When it comes to capability, we don’t have exact number for 2020 yet. However, we have the numbers from the 2019 Super Duty. The 2019 version has a towing capacity of 35,000 pounds, and a maximum payload of 7,640 pounds.
Both of these heavy-duty trucks give you a great performance. They both have new 10-speed transmissions for better performance as well as some engine updates. Right now, the Silverado HD beats the Ford’s towing capacity by just 500 pounds, but the Ford Super Duty has the larger payload capacity.
