The 2021 Chevy Blazer has three different engine options. The standard engine is a 2.5 liter, 193 horsepower, 4-cylinder engine. There’s also a turbocharged 2.0 liter, 230 horsepower, four-cylinder engine and a 3.6 liter, 308 horsepower, V-6 engine. All three engines work in tandem with a smooth-shifting nine-speed automatic transmission. But, only the turbo-four engine and the V-6 engine configurations have all-wheel drive as an
available option. While the Blazer’s front-wheel-drive has all the power you need for in-town and highway driving, the V-6 has impressive acceleration and makes passing on the highway a breeze.
The 2021 Chevrolet Blazer’s performance is athletic, aggressive and sporty. Its quick burst of acceleration, enhanced, composed, responsive, precise handling in stop and go city traffic, high-speed highway driving and on twisting country roads, helped by the exclusive tuning of the steering and suspension, makes you confident you can handle any driving situation. Engaging Driving Dynamics
The spirited driving performance, precise steering feedback, engaging driving dynamics, ability to remain hushed at highway speeds on even and bumpy surfaces of the Blazer is better than crossovers costing thousands more. Driving a Chevy Blazer is a fun and very satisfying experience. The torque-vectoring all-wheel-drive system on the RS model with its 308 horsepower V-6 engine makes the sporty Blazer handle even better. Plus, the Blazer has good fuel economy. The NHTSA gave the 2021 Blazer five-stars for its crash-test rating. Driver Assistance Features
The 2021 Chevy Blazer has lots of available driver assistance features. They include forward-collision warning, automated emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist and adaptive cruise control. Chevy added the Safety Assist Package with the above driver assistance features, plus automatic Intellibeam headlights, pedestrian detection and following distance indicator standard equipment on four of the six Blazer models. The 2LT, 3LT, RS, as well as the Premier models. And the Driver Confidence II Package available on the RS and Premier trims adds LED headlights, HD Surround Vision, rear camera mirror, enhanced automatic emergency braking and safety alert seat systems.
The 2021 Chevy Blazer comes in six different trim levels. The L trim is the base model. It’s followed in upgraded levels of quality standard features and options by the 1LT, the 2LT, the 3LT, the RS and the Premier trim levels.
The Blazer L
Standard features on this base trim include keyless entry, push-button start, an 8-inch full color touchscreen, rear backup camera, tilt-and-telescopic steering wheel, cloth seats, 6-speaker audio system, Bluetooth audio streaming, OnStar with 4G LTE, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Hill Start Assist, cruise control and HID headlights. There are power locking windows and doors, dual-zone automatic climate control, two USB ports, an electronic parking brake, 7 airbags, heated outside power-mirrors, 18-inch alloy rims, 193 horsepower, 4-cylinder, 2.6 liter engine and a 9-speed automatic transmission.
The Blazer 1LT
This trim has all the L trim’s features, plus an 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, deep-tinted windows, SiriusXM satellite radio, road tool emergency kit and a compact spare tire.
The Blazer 2LT
The 2LT trim has all the 1LT features plus, a 2.0 liter, turbocharged, 230 horsepower 4-cylinder engine and the option to upgrade to a V-6, 3.6 liter, 308 horsepower engine and add all-wheel-drive. It also has Chevrolet’s new Safety Assist Package.
The Blazer 3LT
In addition to the 2LT model’s features, this trim adds perforated leather seats and heated front seats, 6-way power adjustable front passenger seat, rear cross-traffic alert, blind-spot monitoring, lane-change alert, rear cross-traffic alert and rear park assist. Plus, there are power, heated, auto-dimming outside mirrors, black roof rails, power liftgate and a universal home remote.
The Blazer RS
The Chevy Blazer RS trim has the features of the lower trims and add a 308 horsepower, 3.6-liter, V-6 engine and the option to add all-wheel-drive. Plus, it also has black leather seating featuring Alcantara inserts, a heated steering wheel, 8-inch full color diagonal driver information display, navigation, Chevrolet Infotainment 3 Plus system, 120-volt outlet, unique black exterior accents, power liftgate and 20-inch alloy rims. Plus, if buyers opt for front-wheel drive, the Blazer RS can get a Trailering Package with a tow rating of 4,500 pounds.
The Blazer Premier
Chevy’s top of the line Blazer Premier trim not only has all of the features of the RS trim, it has chrome horizontal grille slats, its front seats heated and ventilated, heated rear seats, a power-adjustable steering column which has memory settings, a Bose
audio system and unique 20-inch wheels. It also has the Chevrolet Infotainment 3 Plus system and the 4,500-pound tow rated Trailering Package.
Chevrolet gives buyers the option to add a number of different special packages they can use to customize their Blazer depending on its trim.
Convenience And Driver Confidence Package
This adds remote start, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-change alert, blind zone warning and rear park assist. It also adds roof rails, auto-dimming heated side-mirrors, heated front seats and a programmable power liftgate. It’s available on the 2021 Chevy Blazer 1LT trim.
Sound And Technology Package
Available on the Blazer 3LT, this special package adds a driver information screen of 4.2 inches, a rear camera mirror, HD Surround Vision, Chevy’s Infotainment 3 system and a Bose 8-speaker audio system.
Driver Confidence II And Enhanced Convenience Package
Available on only the RS and Premier trims, Chevy’s Driver Confidence II and Enhanced Convenience Package contains LED headlights, wireless phone charging, adaptive cruise control, enhanced automatic emergency braking and a safety alert seat.
