2025 Chevy Equinox

2025 Chevy Equinox

Chevy is known for its big and brawny vehicles with powerful performance. The brand is attached to work trucks that can carry heavy loads and take on tough terrain, as well as large SUVs that can carry even large families. But in recent years, the automaker has been refining its look and expanding its offerings to smaller vehicles that focus on energy efficiency, style, and luxury. The Chevy Equinox is among that crop of vehicles.

The 2025 Chevy Equinox is a gorgeous, compact SUV that will turn heads in any setting. It offers a comfortable ride and is loaded with features, enhancing the driving experience for everyone. The 2025 model has also received a refresh, giving it an exciting new look and features to draw in a fresh batch of fans. Betley Chevrolet is excited to offer this new SUV, and we invite you to visit and take a test drive to learn more about it.

Exterior Refresh

The Chevy Equinox enters into its fourth generation with the 2025 model year, and the SUV has gotten a design makeover, including an exterior refresh. The 2025 Chevy Equinox has taken on a slightly boxier look that is reminiscent of its Chevy peers, made possible by a straighter roofline that also provides more interior room and boxier wheel wells. But don’t expect the Equinox to look like some of its boring and square competitors. The Equinox has plenty of smooth lines, grooves, and detailing that give it a polished and sophisticated look.

You’ll see the same mix of bold details with elegant accents throughout the body of the 2025 Equinox. The front end has a large, black grille that has a thin accent line displaying the logo and is flanked by thin headlights over larger air intakes. Black accents are seen throughout, such as around the wheels, the roof line, the mirrors, and more. The rear end wraps up in a wide and tidy design.

Overall, the Equinox is also 2.3 inches wider and sits a bit higher off the ground, giving it a more powerful stance.

Interior Refresh

The interior of the 2025 Chevy Equinox has also received a design refresh, and you’ll find a refined and stylish design that gives the SUV an air of sophistication. Inside you’ll find comfortable seating, soft-touch materials, and thoughtful details like chrome accents and contrast stitching.

Some changes on the 2025 Equinox include a redesigned center console that has a distinctive dashboard with many grooves and details. You won’t find a bland, flat surface here. The dash is flanked by two large, round air vents and it has a large touchscreen display in its center. All of the controls are easy to reach, and nothing looks garish or out of place.

Cloth upholstery is standard on the Equinox, but more luxury materials are available as you move up the trim levels. Cup holders and storage compartments are strategically placed throughout the cabin. All passengers will find that they have plenty of room for comfort.

Finally, there is also plenty of room for cargo. Fold the rear seats flat and you’ll have 63.5 cubic feet of space. There is also a hidden storage compartment below the cargo floor but above the spare donut tire.

Power and Performance

The 2025 Chevy Equinox has also received an upgraded powertrain, allowing it to offer powerful and reliable performance. The new Equinox gets an updated version of a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine that now puts out 175 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque. The engine is paired with a continuously variable transmission for smooth performance.

Front-wheel drive is standard on the new Equinox, but all-wheel drive is available as an upgrade. An eight-speed automatic transmission is paired with vehicles that are equipped with all-wheel drive.

Fuel-efficiency numbers have not yet been released for the 2025 Chevy Equinox. However, it is expected to see similar numbers to its predecessor, which got an estimated 26 mpg in the city, 31 mpg on the highway, or 28 mpg combined when equipped with front-wheel drive. Outgoing models equipped with all-wheel drive got an estimated 24 mpg in the city, 30 mpg on the highway, and 26 mpg combined.

The new Equinox will offer a max towing capacity of 1,500 pounds, which will be more than enough for most users to haul occasional gear or to head out for weekend trips.

Technology and Convenience Features

With the style upgrades also come many feature upgrades on the 2025 Chevy Equinox. The new Equinox now comes standard with heated front seats and a heated steering wheel – features that you would usually only find on luxury models or on high-end trim levels. The automaker said that it added these features as standard in response to customer surveys – a promising sign for what other surprises may yet be revealed for this model or for future Chevy models.

Another big change for the 2025 Equinox is the addition of two large digital displays on the dashboard. One is an 11.3-inch display for the infotainment system. It is horizontally aligned and angled slightly toward the driver for ease of viewing and use. The other display is an 11.0-inch digital gauge cluster for sharing driving information. The Driver Information Center can be configured to the driver’s preferences, ensuring that any information that is regularly needed can be easily accessed. The display is placed directly in front of the driver and above the steering wheel for convenient viewing at all times.

The infotainment system on the new Equinox has a Google-based interface, including navigation with Google maps. It is also connected to the Google Assistant. The system can connect wirelessly to Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, providing seamless smartphone integration. Other features include wireless charging and OnStar services, which provide constant access to on-demand vehicle diagnostics and emergency assistance.

A full list of features will be available as we get closer to the release date for the 2025 Equinox, but from what we do know, we can expect the SUV to be packed with all the latest features to enhance the driving experience.

Safety and Driver Assistance Features

Chevy has a reputation for offering a comprehensive suite of safety features on its vehicles, and the same is true for the 2025 Equinox. Some of the standard safety features on the new Equinox include automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian braking, lane departure warning, lane keep assistance, adaptive cruise control with lane centering, and more.

Many additional safety features are available as options or as you move up the trim levels. Additional safety features include a 360-degree camera system that provides a full view of all potential obstacles around the vehicle. You also get an aerial view. Other upgrades include rear pedestrian detection, forward collision alert, following distance indicator, and intellibeam headlights that turn on and off automatically depending on conditions. Traffic sign recognition is also available.

Safety ratings from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety are not yet available for the 2025 Chevy Equinox. However, based on the high standards that have gone into designing the Equinox, and based on the safety ratings of the outgoing Equinox model, we expect that the 2025 Equinox will score high, giving families and drivers peace of mind when they’re in the vehicle.

Trim Levels

Three trim levels are available for the 2025 Chevy Equinox, giving buyers the option to “customize” their vehicle by getting the additional features they want. More customization is available through the selection of exterior and interior colors and optional packages.

The base model trim level is the LT. It comes with all the features described above, and it is an affordable and stylish option for most buyers.

The mid-level trim is the ACTIV, which features black badging and special emblems. Exterior features include 17-inch machined wheels with all-terrain tires, roof rails, and an available white two-tone roof. There’s also a uniquely tuned suspension that is better suited for tough terrain. Inside, you’ll find microfiber suede seating with ACTIV stitched onto the front headrests.

The final trim level is the RS. It also features black badging and emblems, and it has an available black two-tone roof. It gets 19-inch machined wheels, but you can upgrade to 20-inch wheels if you like. Inside, the upholstery gets either Torch Red or Santorini Blue premium stitching, and RS is embossed on the front headrests.

In addition to the trim levels, optional packages will be available, giving you the ability to get exactly the features you want on your new Equinox.
