What’s New for 2025?
The 2025 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD has just seen a mid-cycle refresh, which continues with some feature upgrades and a couple of new exterior colors.
The 2025 lineup starts with the aptly named Worktruck (WT), with further features added as the price tag climbs from the Custom, LT, LTZ, and ZR2 to the top luxurious High Country trim.
The Trail Boss package is available at the LT and LTZ trim levels to appeal to the off-road community.
Imposing Tough Exterior
The Chevy Silverado 2500 is available in three cab styles: regular cab, extended cab (double cab), and crew cab, as well as two-bed lengths, standard and long.
The Chevy sports an imposing front fascia, with a large grille featuring the familiar horizontal bar and bow tie badge. Depending on the trim, the mesh grill is finished in black or a bright finish.
All trims are given IntelliBeam headlight treatments that offer automatic exterior lamp control
with upper trims fitted with LED headlights and unique C-shaped elements rather than the standard halogen units.
The rugged exterior design extends to square wheel arches featuring black molded trim. The load bed gets a side step to aid access into the rather high-sided Durabed, which features 12 standard tie-downs.
The corner step rear bumper has either a black or chrome finish, depending on the trim, and alloy wheels are found on all but the WT, which offers styled steel rims.

Powertrains
Full size trucks need power to fulfill their intended roles of load lugging and towing. The 2025 Chevy Silverado 2500 delivers and more when it comes to the engine department.
The standard engine found in the Chevy is a rather capable 6.6-liter gasoline V-8 that delivers 401 horsepower @ 5,200 rpm and 464 pound feet of torque @ 40,00 rpm that is coupled with the lineup standard Allison 10-speed automatic transmission.
Silverado 2500 trims fitted with this engine offer a 19,080 lbs. maximum available towing weight.
The available Duramax 6.6-liter turbo-diesel V-8 produces 470 horsepower and a tree-stump-pulling 975 pound feet of torque which enables the Silverado to tow up to an incredible 36,000-pound maximum towing capacity.
All trims offer an electronic shift 2-speed transfer case with push-button controls, a 3.73 rear axle ratio, an automatic locking rear differential, and four-wheel drive.

Interior Design
The Chevy Silverado 2500 offers a spacious interior and a driver-friendly design that allows drivers to feel comfortable and confident on the road.
