Exterior Comparison

Interior Differences
The Traverse’s cabin offers useful space and versatility, along with generous comfort and convenience items in all trims.

Powertrain Differences
All Traverse trims are powered by a 2.5-liter turbo-boosted four-cylinder engine making 328 horsepower @5,500 rpm and 326 pound-feet of torque @3,500 rpm with an automatic stop-start system.
An eight-speed automatic transmission is available, offering Electronic Precision Shift and an electronic transmission range selector, along with FWD. AWD is optional with a deactivation function that allows FWD only.
The Acadia is powered by the same 2.5-liter turbo-boosted four-cylinder engine with similar outputs and the same eight-speed automatic transmission.
FWD drive is standard, with AWD available as an option, but standard on the AT4 trim.
The Acadia can also tow up to a maximum of 5,000 lbs.
Safety and Driver Assistance Aids
The Chevy has plenty of safety and driver-assistance features such as eight airbags, automatic Emergency Braking, and an LED Reflective Windshield Collision Alert.
Chevy Safety Assist Drivers’ assistance offers blind zone steering assist, forward collision alerts, enhanced automatic emergency braking, pedestrian and bicyclist detection systems, and automatic high-beam headlamps.
The Acadia is equipped with a comprehensive suite of safety features, including StabiliTrak, an electronic stability control system with traction control, automated emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, blind-spot monitoring, lane-keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control.
Enhanced safety can be had in GMC’s Super Cruise hands-free driver-assistance system and a surround-view camera system.
