2020 Chevy Silverado 1500 Midnight and Rally Editions are Back!
Chevy Silverado truck lovers have a lot to celebrate right now. Not only is the popular truck back for the 2020 model year and already available at dealerships, but two beloved special editions are being brought back, as well: The Midnight and the Rally. The two special editions premiered at the State Fair of Texas in September, and are currently only available in Texas markets. However, the special editions should be coming to a dealership near you soon.
Here’s what we know about the 2020 Chevy Silverado special editions so far:
As with any special edition, the Midnight and Rally editions are only available on certain configurations. You can get the Silverado Midnight edition on the LT Trail Boss and Custom Trail Boss trim levels of the Chevy Silverado 1500. Meanwhile, the Rally edition is available on the Custom and RST trim levels of the Silverado 1500.
With each special edition, you get all the features of the trim level plus a little bit more.
You get a lot of special features with both the Midnight and the Rally special editions.
As you might expect from its name, the Midnight edition comes in an all-black color palette that includes the wheels, bumpers, grill, exhaust tips, steps, and badging. Even the Chevy logo is in black with a subtle chrome trim. The only pop of color you’ll see is the red on the recovery hooks. Some of the extras included on the Midnight edition include a two-inch suspension lift, mono-tube shocks, an automatic locking rear differential, skid plates, and off-road tires. You also have the choice between a 5.3-liter V8 engine and a 6.2-liter V8 engine, with either a six-speed automatic transmission or a 10-speed, respectively.
The Rally edition has a sportier vibe that’s more suited to your daily drive, and it comes in an array of colors, including Red Hot, Silver Ice Metallic, Summit White, and Black. Black rally stripes are on the hood, but there is a body-color grille and other body-color accents. You do get black accents with the badging and exhaust tips. The Rally edition also has 20- or 22-inch black painted wheels. You get three powertrain options with this special edition, including a 2.7-liter turbocharged four cylinder, a 5.3-liter V8 or a 6.2-liter V8. The latter two options are only available for the RST trim level.
Which Option is Right for You?
When it comes to Chevy and the Silverado, there really isn’t a bad choice. With either the Midnight or the Rally special edition, you get a great-looking truck that offers amazing performance and a fun ride. You’ll love driving these special editions, no matter where you have to go.
The best thing to do is to visit your local Chevy dealership to test drive the 2020 Silverado 15000 and get a feel for its performance and features. When the special editions are available, you can compare and contrast to determine which suits you best.
