New Tail Lights on the Tahoe and Suburban for 2021
The 2021 Chevy Suburban and the 2021 Chevy Tahoe were released with some exciting new features, including a fresh new look, improved suspension, and an optional diesel engine. The new models look great, and they’re delivering the exceptional performance for which Chevy has become known.
One small but interesting change that the all-new Tahoe and Suburban share is a unique design for the tail lights. These “Easter Egg” features are so subtle that it may take some a while to notice them, but when they do, the features will delight.
Tail Light Design
The tail lights on the 2021 Chevy Tahoe and 2021 Chevy Suburban have a unique shape that perfectly enhances the overall style of the large SUVs. The wrap-around lights look vertical from the rearview, but the side profile is more geometric and triangular.
Cutting through the middle of the lights is the subtle, Easter Egg detail. A slim, chrome bar dissects the tail light. On the right side, the Chevrolet name is stamped on the slim bar. On the left side, the iconic bowtie logo is stamped.
Neither stamp is large enough to be read along the highway. Both are subtle and stylish, giving a nod to the beloved namesake producing the Tahoe and Suburban, rather than forcing garish advertising. Fans of the brand will love the understated badging.
The tail lights on the 2021 Chevy Tahoe and the 2021 Chevy Suburban are a fun and exciting update, but they are far from the only update on these all-new models. The Tahoe is in its fifth generation, and the Suburban is in its 12th generation, and both include some of the elements that have made them beloved, as well as some updates to keep them competitive and to enhance their style.
These two SUVs offer the same three engine options, including the new 3.0-liter I6 LM2 turbo-diesel Duramax engine that puts out 277 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. This is an optional engine that lets you get the power you need beyond what the base model offers.
The Tahoe and the Suburban are updated with the most advanced suspension in the segment. The new system includes an independent rear suspension that includes Magnetic Ride Control and Air Ride Adaptive Suspension. You’ll feel better supported and comfortable even when going over rugged terrain.
Of course, there are many style upgrades throughout the Tahoe and the Suburban, including updated headlights to match the new tail lights, a new quad exhaust system, and more. There is also more interior passenger and cargo space than ever before.
