2022 Chevy Silverado 2500HD

When you’re in the market for a truck that can do some serious work, it’s hard to beat what the 2022 Chevy Silverado 2500HD has to offer. But with the Silverado 2500HD, it’s not all about work.

Sure, it has some impressive performance specs, but with plenty of luxury features, you can get the job done in comfort and style. We’ve highlighted everything you need to know about the all-new Silverado 2500HD here.

New Features

Sometimes vehicle manufacturers completely overhaul their vehicles from one model year to the next. Other times it’s little more than a refresh. With the 2022 Chevy Silverado 2500HD, it’s more of the latter.

Chevy implemented three changes for their 2022 model, and all of them are optional. For starters, they have a new Greenstone metallic paint color.

Second, Custom trim levels now have the option for a power-adjustable seat, and now you can upgrade to the six-function Multi-Flex tailgate on every trim package. Not exactly jaw-dropping stuff, but nice new features nonetheless.

Performance, Payload, and Towing Specs

While there are not many new features compared to the 2021 version, considering the 445 horsepower and the 910 lb-ft of torque in the 6.6L Duramax turbo diesel and the 401 horsepower 464 lb-ft in the 6.6-liter gas V8, that’s perfectly alright.

The gas-powered truck can tow up to 14,500-pounds, while the diesel can pull an impressive 18,500-pounds. It’s a work truck, and it excels at doing work.

Finally, when you’re throwing things in the bed of your truck, payload matters. With the regular-cab, long-bed gas truck, you can load up to 3,979 pounds, while the diesel truck can carry up to 3,715 pounds.

Dimensions

Whether you’re looking for space in the cab or room for your gear in the bed, the Silverado 2500HD has an option for you.

Comfort Features

While you can certainly save a few bucks and opt for the WT (Work Truck) level trim package, if you’re looking for a little more comfort, Chevy has plenty of options for you without sacrificing performance.

For starters, every Silverado 2500HD has a touchscreen infotainment display that’s jam-packed with all the current compatibility features like Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and more. Lower trim levels come with a 7-inch screen, while the LT trim level and up get an even larger 8-inch screen.
