First Look: 3 Chevy EV Vehicles

Chevy has traditionally been known to create powerful trucks and vehicles that can tackle tough terrain and can command the road – the type of power that requires a lot of fuel. But as we have become more conscientious of the impact our choices have on the environment, more consumers have embraced alternative sources of energy for our vehicles, including hybrid and electric powertrain. Now, Chevy has been leading the way in developing EV and hybrid vehicles for the common consumer. Here’s a first look at the three Chevy EV vehicles that are coming out in 2024:

2024 Chevy Equinox

This sporty SUV will get up to 300 miles of electric range on a full charge – an impressive number that rivals luxury competitors, but at a price that most consumers can afford. This Equinox is an “EV for Everyone” and will come in a variety of trim levels that include different features and battery sizes. The base model 1LT will be front-wheel drive and will get 210 horsepower and 242 lb-ft of torque. It will have a 11.5kW charging module, which will add about 34 miles of range per hour of charging. Upgrades are available to all-wheel drive, a faster charging port, and bigger wheels.

Inside, you can expect to find two comfortable rows of seating, plenty of advanced infotainment tech, and 57 cubic feet of cargo space (with the rear seats folded).

2024 Chevy Blazer

If you’re looking for a bigger SUV, the 2024 Chevy Blazer will offer a wider wheelbase with a bit more interior room while still riding on an electric powertrain. A variation of the same tech is used on the Blazer, but the standard model gets an electric range of around 247 miles. Lots of customization is available, including being able to choose whether the SUV is front-wheel drive, rear-wheel drive, or all-wheel drive. Different size motors and battery packs are also available, resulting in more range and faster charging time.

The Blazer will offer a host of features, varying by trim level, including a large touchscreen display, air quality regulation, a head’s up driver display, and more.

2024 Chevy Silverado

The Silverado is a beloved Chevy favorite, and its electric powertrain makes it accessible to a much wider crowd who would love to enjoy the prowess it offers while also reducing resources. The 2024 Silverado is built on Chevy’s Ultium platform, and it will offer an impressive 400 miles of electric range on the upper trim levels that are powered by two motors. Power will be facilitated by features like the Wide Open Watts mode that will ensure fast acceleration and heavy towing.

Enjoy additional features like a “frunk” for extra storage, a huge instrument display, and a convenient head’s up display.
