First Look: 2022 Chevy Tahoe

Tons of space and even more options is what the Chevy Tahoe is all about, and the 2022 model is no different. Chevy completely revamped the Tahoe line in 2021, and with even more standard features and options, there’s little doubt that the 2022 model is the best Tahoe yet.
Keep reading and we’ll show you exactly what we’re talking about.
What’s New
While there’s not a ton of brand-new features for the 2022 Tahoe, there are at least two we want to mention here. First, there’s now the option to get up to 13 different camera views, and there’s one specially tailored for trailering.
Second, there are all-new metallic color options you can choose for your Tahoe. The three new options are: auburn, ash, and evergreen gray.
While these might not be the caliber changes you saw from the 2020 to the 2021 model year, the year right after a major refresh is all about fine-tuning things, and they hit the nail right on the head.
More Standard Features
The most notable difference between the 2021 Tahoe and the 2022 model is all the features that now come standard. Before these features were all additional upgrades, now they come with every model:
- Automatic high beams
- Front and rear parking sensors
- Lane-keeping assist
- GM Buckle and Drive
While most of those features are pretty self-explanatory, the GM Buckle and Drive feature might need a little extra explaining.
The feature works by preventing a driver from shifting their vehicle out of park until after they buckle their seatbelt. And if there’s a passenger in the front seat, they’ll need to buckle up too. It’s a novel safety feature that’s there to keep everyone safe.
Finally, while the 12.3” digital gauge cluster might not be a standard feature across every trim package for the Tahoe now, you’ll find it in far more options. Now the only trim level that doesn’t have the upgraded digital gauge cluster is the base model LS.
Chevy’s taking everything to the next level by ensuring that everyone’s getting the best safety features on the market, not just those that are willing to pay more for them.
Performance Specs
Because there are three different engine options to choose from for the 2022 Tahoe, it’s challenging to highlight exactly what each model can do. That’s why we decided to break down some of the basic performance specs for each model you can choose from.
That way you can see exactly what they offer and make the best decision about what you need and what’s right for you!
| Engine | Horsepower | Torque |

| 6.2L V8 | 420 hp | 460 lb-ft |
